Gábor Galla graduated from the College of Hotel, Catering and Tourism in 1974, and obtained his doctorate at the Budapest University of Economics in 1981. During his studies he spent a year in Tanzania, where he was deputy general manager at Hallways Hotels Overseas Ltd. He has 30 years of experience in the tourism business.
Embassies In Hungary Going Green And Fair Trade

"In January, the Dutch Embassy became the first embassy in Hungary to go Fair Trade. The embassy just placed their first order of Treehugger Dan's Fair Trade Kafequo coffee (55% arabica/45% robusta). The beans come from Peru and Tanzania, and are mixed and roasted by Caffe Agust in Italy. This move was quickly followed by the Gambian Embassy.

"Finally a gorgeous weekend in the countryside. We still had to put a fire in the buboskemence the first night, but the sun was shining and we were actually in shorts! The Bodva River flood came up to the fence, and left about 45cm of ground water in the basement, but otherwise the house was thankfully untouched, as were our immediate neighbors. "To commemorate World Water Day (March 22), the American Corner Budapest and the U.S. Embassy have organized the “Beauty of Water - East Coast Rain” photo exhibition. The photos portrayed various scenes from the U.S. East Coast related to water: rainy city shots from New York City, small American towns on lakes, Niagara Falls, and so on. The unifying theme was the beauty of water.

Frederick Sweet was born in New York City of Hungarian parents (both from Budapest) who had immigrated to the United States before World War II. Since Hungarian was spoken at home, Sweet acquired it as a second language.
