Hungary’s Chief Medical Officer has issued a second-level heat alert for the entire country, in effect from Sunday, 30 June until Thursday, 4 July. According to forecasts from HungaroMet, temperatures are expected to exceed 25°C even in the early morning hours, especially in urban areas where buildings and paved surfaces retain heat throughout the night.
