This year’s festival runs from November 11 to 19 and will take place in Budapest as well as seven other cities around Hungary.
The 12th Chimney Cake Festival will be held at the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden, offering expats a sweet attraction filled with local tradition, live music and a variety of tastes to try. Known in Hungarian as Kürtőskalács, the beloved Chimney Cake is a local favourite made from spiral dough baked over charcoal, coated in sugar, and often rolled in toppings like cinnamon, walnut, and coconut.
