Budapest's fourth metro line, linking Kelenföld and the Keleti railway stations, opened to the public last Friday. A formal ceremony was held in the presence of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Mayor of Budapest István Tarlós at the Kelenföld terminus. The metro line’s 15 vehicles, each with four wagons, will be controlled automatically, but monitoring will be present during the test phase to ensure absolute safety.

Russia and Hungary have signed the agreement under which Russia will grant a €10 billion loan for the expansion of Paks nuclear power plant, Moscow financial newspaper Vedomosti reported on Tuesday. The report does not say when and where the agreement was signed.
Born in 1973, American-Canadian singer, lyricist and composer Rufus McGarrigle Wainwright makes music that defies easy classification. He has released seven albums of his own, has written film scores and classical operas, and put Shakespeare’s sonnets to music for a play by Robert Wilson.
