• Video Article: Metro Line 4 Opens In Budapest

    Budapest's fourth metro line, linking Kelenföld and the Keleti railway stations, opened to the public last Friday. A formal ceremony was held in the presence of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Mayor of Budapest István Tarlós at the Kelenföld terminus. The metro line’s 15 vehicles, each with four wagons, will be controlled automatically, but monitoring will be present during the test phase to ensure absolute safety.

    Dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the prominent music venue BIM Huis, Amsterdam, BMC launches a series of concerts by renowned Dutch jazz ensembles. The first two events are ESTAFEST (Mete Erker – saxophone, Oene van Geel – viola and cajon, Anton Goudsmit – guitar, Jeroes van Vliet – piano) on 4th April, and INTERCONTINENTAL TRIO (Joris Teepe – contrabass, Tim Armacost – saxophone, Shingo Okudaira – drums) on 9th April.

  • Russia And Hungary Sign Paks Nuclear Deal

    Russia and Hungary have signed the agreement under which Russia will grant a €10 billion loan for the expansion of Paks nuclear power plant, Moscow financial newspaper Vedomosti reported on Tuesday. The report does not say when and where the agreement was signed.
