Unsuccessful Search for Director of Hungarian State Opera Triggers New Tender
New bids will be invited for the post of director of the Hungarian State Opera, as the previous tender ended unsuccessfully.

Under the relevant regulations, a new tender must be launched within 60 days from the date when the previous invitation was declared void, the Culture and Innovation Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

According to this, incumbent Szilveszter Ókovács’s term will expire on February 24, 2023.

Culture and Innovation Minister János Csák could extend his mandate as acting director until July 31 or until the appointment of a successor.
