Investment Subsidies for Recycling Offered in Hungary
The energy ministry on Thursday announced the launch of subsidies for companies that make investments to recycle products that fall under the extended producer responsibility regime rolled out in Hungary on July 1.

 Applicants may apply for up to 300 million forints (EUR 802,000) by the August 14 deadline.

The subsidies are for the management and recycling of waste from products for which manufacturers are required to pay a product fee under the European Union’s “polluter-pays principle”.

The government has earmarked 3.3 billion forints for the subsidies, the tender website shows.
