Wizz Air Modernisation: Hungarian-Based Airline’s Fleet Will Expand to 484
Discount airline Wizz Air has signed a contract for the purchase of 75 A321neo aircraft from Airbus. The Hungarian-based airline’s fleet at present consists of 185 A320 models.

The airline’s fleet will expand to 484 with the latest order.

Wizz Air will strengthen its position as the largest operator of the A321neo aircraft in Europe and the Middle East and more than half of its fleet will consist of aircraft featuring the latest technology in aviation, CEO József Váradi declared after the signing of the deal.

The A321neo, the largest model in the Airbus A320 family, is 50% less noisy than the previous model and has a 20% lower fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission.
