The so-called Városligeti Műjégpálya, the outdoor ice rink of the City Park awaits skaters with prices unchanged, and longer opening hours on Saturday. According to the experts’ statement, after the accomplished extensions the cooling system of the ice rink will adapt to operational difficulties caused by extreme weather changes more effectively than before.

Gross Wages In Hungary Up 3.4% In February

Average gross wages in Hungary rose by an annual 3.4% to 234,367 forints (778 euros) in February. Net wages rose at the same pace to 153,511 forints, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. Hungarians took home 12,446 forints in bonuses in February, on average, 9.5% more than in the same month a year earlier.

Mounting arrears to suppliers on the part of state-owned hospitals has left at least one service provider little choice but to shut down all laboratory services except those critical to saving life. Another company is seriously disappointed politically in the Fidesz government’s neglect of Hungary’s public health care system despite promising to introduce important reforms in 2010.
