The royal Danish capital has just been crowned the best city in the world for quality of life. Copenhagen grabbed top spot for its cutting-edge design credentials amongst other factors including the number of cinema screens and ease of getting a quality glass of wine at 1am.

I have been happily living in Budapest for 10 years, an expatriate from the frantic city life of Chicago. I feel especially lucky to have the opportunity to experience a slower but 'sophisticated European lifestyle' in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
