Canadian airlines Air Transat will launch a flight to Budapest next summer, Airportal.hu reported on Wednesday. The weekly service will connect Montreal and Toronto with Budapest. Details of the schedule will be published later, the company said at MTI’s enquiry.

Illegal Cigarette Sales In Hungary Top 12%

The black market for cigarettes in Hungary has grown to 12.1% of total sales, market research company GfK Hungária said. A little more than a year ago, GfK Hungária said illegal sales of cigarettes accounted for 7.7% of total turnover. In its latest release, the market researcher said the rate had reached 11.8% by the end of last year, but noted there had been “restructuring” on the market.

Over the next five years the Budapest Spas Plc. (BGYH Zrt.) will provide almost 15 billion HUF for the renewal, modernization and enlargement of its baths. This amount would cover the refurbishment of Gellért Bath, Dagály, Palatinus, Paskál and Pesterzsébeti beaches as well, said Mayor István Tarlós during the press conference on the development plans of BGYH Zrt.

Hungary’s ACE Telecom said it had acquired the Wi-Fi hotspots of peer Wiera. ACE Telecom did not disclose the price of the transaction which is set to double the number of its free hotspots. In the capital, there are Wiera hotspots in ten hotels, in Burger King restaurants and in several cafes.
