Thanks to government mandated cuts to utility fees, Hungary has the second lowest price of natural gas in the European Union based on purchasing power parity (PPP), Fidesz MP Szilárd Németh told a press conference in Budapest. Whereas in 2010 Hungary was the country where consumers had to pay the most for gas in the EU, now only Romania has lower gas prices, based on PPP exchange rates.

The Hungarian government is planning to draft legislation on restricting the consumption of energy drinks, according to State Secretary at the Ministry of Human Resources Bence Rétvári.
