Retail sales in Hungary could come close to 10,000 billion forints this year, the chief secretary of the National Association of Commerce (OKSZ) told public television. Retail sales have risen by 5%-6% on an annual basis, data published so far show, and the pace is likely to have continued in the last months of the year, György Vámos told news channel M1.

In the Hungarian tradition the Christmas present is brought by baby Jesus in the evening. Religious people follow the (Jesus kid) tradition and they go to the midnight mass, too.
