Danish retail chain JYSK has opened its 101st store in Hungary, continuing its expansion strategy with a new 1,000 sqm location in Körmend. The opening follows new stores earlier this financial year in Debrecen and Ózd.

The Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum and Research Centre in Vörösmarty utca 35, District 6, opened in September 1986 in the Old Academy of Music building, previously used from late 1875 until mid-1907 for music teaching. Early photographs show that there were originally two buildings on the site at the time of inauguration but one building has since been demolished.
New Sisi Painting: Godollo Palace Obtains Previously Unknown Portrait of Queen Erzsebet

A previously unknown portrait of Queen Elisabeth (known as Sisi in Hungary), painted by György Raab in 1867, has been acquired by the Gödöllő Royal Palace for over HUF 30 million, Minister of Culture and Innovation Balázs Hankó announced.

This summer, guests will once again come together in Csobánkapuszta – their hidden Garden of Eden nestled in Hungary’s South Cserhát Basin – to celebrate with music and dance. All participating artists are friends and long-time supporters, and the event is largely organised and run by volunteers. Donations will go towards the upkeep and ongoing development of the area.
