Over the past two years Szélesi, 35, has been assistant to his predecessor, Bernd Storck, who quit his post on October 17 after the team’s failure to qualify for the 2018 World Championship.

Hungary’s head coach since the summer of 2015, Bernd Storck, has left his post with immediate effect after a rollercoaster two years in charge of the men’s national team.
