Last weekend witnessed the 7th Whisky & Fine Spirit Show in Budapest, organised by WhiskyNet - Hungary’s top whisky distributor - and the Hungarian Whisky Club, led by Dávid Kovács. British multinational oil and gas company BP, formerly known as British Petroleum, opened a shared services center with a staff of 170 in a repurposed clothing factory in Szeged, southern Hungary.

The community of The British International School Budapest came together to celebrate the graduation of its Class of 2017 last Saturday at the Intercontinental Budapest. The event was attended by over 250 students, parents, teachers and guests, including Dr Michael Ignatieff PC CM, President and Rector of CEU, and Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador Iain Lindsay OBE (pictured below).

With temperatures plummeting to nearly -20°C, local staff and expat customers of this Scottish pub have been donating ingredients and time to make hundreds of litres of soup for the homeless in Budapest.
