Two people were killed when two glider planes collided in mid-air near Esztergom around noon Sunday for hitherto unclear reasons. One of the gliders crashed, killing its two occupants. The student piloting the other glider managed to make an emergency landing and was not injured.

Four Hungarians were injured in Saturday’s earthquake in Nepal and are receiving treatment at a church-run hospital, Foreign Affairs Minister Péter Szijjártó told reporters in Budapest on Tuesday. Another two of the 44 Hungarians known to be in Nepal on Saturday have not been contacted directly. Eighteen Hungarians have left Nepal since the disaster.
