MAV Group said on Friday that as a continuations of its Green Bus Programme it will put into service 20 fully-electric Ikarus 120e buses in six settlements with HUF 4.4bn of funding from the HUMDA Hungarian Motorsport and Green Mobility Development Agency and the Energy Ministry.

Budapest's Keleti railway station will be closed between August 25 and September 20 due to railway repairs, the chief of national railway company MAV told a press conference.

The Disaster Management Authority received reports of 9,752 incidents nationwide where storms caused damage by 6am on Wednesday, the authority has said, adding that in 5,008 cases, the fire departments have already handled the incident.

Passenger traffic at Ferenc Liszt International Airport is currently running according to schedule, without delays, as normal. The airport was hit by heavy rains at around 10:00 again, but thanks to the accurate weather forecast and the preparedness and coordinated efforts of our staff, the current storm is not causing any disruption to traffic.
