MasterCard Balaton Sound organizers announced that 98% of the early bird passes have been already sold. Tickets are selling with a record speed this year, so the discounted sales period will end this week. Afterwards only full-priced passes and day tickets will be available, also in a limited number. MasterCard Balaton Sound is held between 10-13 July 2014.

The European Festival Awards has finished with the success of the Hungarian festival scene. B.my.Lake the newest member in the portfolio of Sziget Cultural Management has won the category of ‘Best New Festival’, while all other nominated festivals: Sziget Festival, VOLT Festival and MasterCard Balaton Sound are among the best festivals of Europe.

After a renovation amounting to HUF 302 million, the Castle of Szigliget was inaugurated on Thursday. At the ceremony, Tibor Navracsics, Deputy Prime Minister, said that the renovation of the castle was an excellent example of how a community living at one of the most beautiful spots of the Lake Balaton region is able to grasp an opportunity arising out of the historical past.
