Video: May Day 'Great Race' In Budapest

Tens of thousands of people lined the Budapest banks of the Danube to watch the car, motor sport and air show called Nagy Futam (Great Race) in downtown Budapest last Sunday. As part of the show, three planes twice flew under the Chain Bridge simultaneously. The stunt was spectacular but nearly ended badly, because on both occasions one of the planes flew too low and bounced off the Danube.
Cabinet Submits Anti-Uber Bill

The cabinet submitted a bill to Parliament yesterday that in effect outlaws Uber and drivers who work for the company. The bill would make it possible to deprive drivers of their licence for six months if they are caught transporting passengers illegally for a second time and their vehicles could be withdrawn from traffic for up to three years.

Tourist buses will be banned from the Buda Castle district from May 15 because of the renovation of the Carmelite convent, the future home of the Prime Minister’s Office. The thousands of tourists who visit the Castle are to be taken there on Budapest public transport buses.

Orbán has to openly express his regret for ever having made such a statement.

Alstom has recently been revealed to have transferred more than 597,000 euros to a company owned by the family of former Socialist prime minister Péter Medgyessy.
