MOL has announced that it will sponsor the ice hockey team Fehérvár AV19. MOL used to be the main sponsor of the ice hockey league, but the ice hockey association opted for Erste Bank in July, ending its sponsorship with the energy company.

The Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ) has appointed Zoltán Szélesi acting coach for the last two matches the national eleven is scheduled to play this year. Over the past two years Szélesi, 35, has been assistant to his predecessor, Bernd Storck, who quit his post on October 17 after the team’s failure to qualify for the 2018 World Championship.

Hungary’s head coach since the summer of 2015, Bernd Storck, has left his post with immediate effect after a rollercoaster two years in charge of the men’s national team. His assistant Andreas Möller leaves with him but his other countrymen in the national-team set-up will remain in their positions.
