The significance of Derkovits was recognized even by the critics, collectors and museum experts of his own age.

The International Chamber Music Festival of Kaposvár (Kaposfest) is being held for the fifth time from 13th to 19th August 2014. Such world stars are going on stage this year again like Ferenc Rados, Alina Ibragimova, Barnabás Kelemen, Jan Erik Gustaffson, Zoltán Kocsis, Kirill Gernstein or the Amadinda Percussion Group. The art director of the festival is Katalin Kokas, violinist.
