Also adjusted for seaonal effects, retail sales were down in April by 1.0% compared to the same month in 2011. Overall 2011 retail sales were slightly up on 2010 by 0.2% , rising that year for the first time since 2006.

Export prices increased 0.3% month-on-month and 5.8% year-on-year, while domestic sales prices were unchanged from February, and grew 7.6% since March, 2011. Prices went up 9.2% year-on-year in the energy and manufacturing sectors.
