The second largest cities in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland signed a letter of intent on Friday to co-operate in tourism matters. Debrecen, Brno, Kosice and Krakow will present each other at their tourism fairs and will harmonise their tourism marketing, while their universities will engage in joint research in tourism development. They will apply together for EU subsidies.

The interior ministry has proposed that the Hungarian government declare a state of crisis in light of the massive influx of migrants, which will be discussed at next Tuesday’s cabinet meeting, government office chief János Lázár told a press conference.
