A German national suspected of having committed a murder earlier this month in southern Hungary has been turned over to Hungarian authorities by Austrian police, Hungary’s national police ORFK said on its website on Thursday.

The Eger Sub-County and Investigative Prosecution has pressed charges against the youths who harassed and threatened the members of a Roma family in Szúcs for several months in 2015. Several of the youths were members of the extremist and racist Betyársereg (Army of Outlaws) at the time.

According to legend, Doubtful Thomas was sent to India by the resurrected Christ to be a carpenter at the construction of the king’s palace. Thomas did obey Christ, and worked for and lived with the foreign ruler for many years. Thus, he is considered to be the Patron Saint of the Carpenters and also the patron of marriage.

The original Finnish Santa Claus will come to Hungary for the 17th time this December. Santa Claus, or Joulupukki as Finns call him, flies in all the way from the Lappish town of Rovaniemi (via a Finnair plane and so not with Rudolph).

Everybody is welcome to attend the ecumenical service, and those who do are kindly requested to arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:45. The service lasts approximately 20 minutes.
