'Unlawful' Withdrawal of HUF 10 Billion from Budapest Accounts by Treasury, Reports Mayor
The Hungarian State Treasury has "unlawfully" withdrawn more than 10 billion forints (EUR 24.8m) from Budapest's accounts, and the municipality has halted payments to some municipality-owned companies to preserve liquidity, Gergely Karácsony, the city's mayor, told a press conference.
