Bingo! Yes, that was the feeling. The NAWA invited me to one of their monthly bingo sessions, but it was bingo with a twist. They have come up with a novel idea called ‘adopt a granny’. This is where the children of Miklos School came together with the seniors to play bingo. But first there was the small matter of egg decoration, just in time for Easter. I came along to TedxDanubia to get a glimpse of the world, but I got the universe. I learnt about Higgs Boson, wilful blindness, sewerage of the future, protons, learning to play the piano online, ageing, beat box (Star Trek is closer than we would think!) and this was delivered by some inspirational speakers.
Budapest Airport: Single Runway Operation Again During Earth Hour

As is now traditional, this year Budapest Airport is once again participating in the global environmental initiative called Earth Hour. The Hungarian capital airport will close one of its runways, switch off the related lights and reduce energy consumption in passenger circulation areas and in the nearly 300 buildings located at the airport for an hour at 8:30 p.m. on 23 March.

The snow had melted away, the sun was shining, Irish eyes were smiling, and Hungarian eyes and everyone else’s eyes were smiling together. A small piece of the emerald Isle had gathered to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day: colourful, warm and charming, which, in my opinion, sums up the nation.
