Retail sales in Hungary rose 6.4% year-on-year in October, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a second reading of data released on Tuesday. The KSH lowered the rate from the 6.6% figure published in a preliminary reading on December 5.

In March 2018, the volume of sales in retail shops rose by 8.7% according to raw data and, mainly due to the Easter effect, by 7.3% adjusted for calendar effects compared to March 2017, a second estimate from the Central Statistical Office (KSH) shows. Both figures are 0.2 of a percentage point higher than in the first flash estimate on May 4.

The law on air traffic was also modified authorising the police to levy fines for the illegal use of drones.
