• NAWA Budapest Connect Grannies, Grandads, & Orphans

    • 6 Jan 2012 8:00 AM

Several times each year, Xpats from the North American Women's Association bring together children (ages 9 to 16) from a Hungarian orphanage and seniors from a local retirement home. This program was created to offer “adoptive” grandparents and their grandchildren something that simple donations would not – love and attention. These events are held in a setting where seniors and orphans can interact and form bonds – like at the aquarium, the zoo, the circus, while painting ceramics, and at the most popular event, at Bingo! Read on for dates of the next Bingo get-together, and for more information about how you could help bring a smile to someone less fortunate than yourself, and enjoy doing it with fellow Xpats.
