• 'The Rorschach Band', Merlin Budapest, 17 November

    "Many had tried to define the term indie with little, if any, success. Rorschach had ceased attempting a while ago. They rather do it instead. Members of the band have been playing together in various formations for the best part of the last decade until finally in 2009 they (re)invented the ensemble incumbant for 3 years by then. The foundations are laid down by the musical concepts designed by songwriter, producer and guitarist, Lőrinc Bubnó in perfect tandem with the melodies crafted by the mood-setter, and vocalist, Márton Auer.

  • Germans Used Drugs To Beat Hungary In World Cup

    According to an article in Le Mond of 26.10.10, the German team that beat Hungary in the football World Cup final of 1954 received "injections of a doping product during the tournament". Apparently the Team German final victory was a major surprise as Hungary had trounced them 8-3 in the group stage of the tournament. Here's a retro video of the action.

    "Born in Ferriday, Louisiana, Jerry Lee Lewis showed an early, natural talent for the piano. His parents were poor but took out a loan to buy a third-hand upright piano for him. Sharing piano lessons with his cousins Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Lee Swaggart, the ten-year old Lewis is said to have shown remarkable aptitude for the instrument.
