A house collapsed in Budapest, leaving injured people trapped under the rubble. Several trolleybuses and trams did not run as their overhead cables were damaged in the storm.

The government will have prisoners construct the fence on the border with Serbia, Népszava writes today, based on a cabinet resolution published in official gazette Magyar Közlöny. The resolution reassigns Ft 6.57 billion from government reserves to cover costs expected to arise at corrections institutes.
