According to the beliefs of old people, this is a magical night when almost anything can happen, wishes can be met. In accordance with folk traditions - worldwide - they light up joyful fires, which attribute a miraculous power.

In 2015 and 2017, Patrick won a translation grant from the Milán Füst foundation to support his work translating plays by Milán Füst (Boldogtalanok) and Sándor Bródy (A dada). He plans to continue his work as a literary translator and dreams of producing an anthology of classic Hungarian plays in his own English translations.

My earliest memories involve creating where I was always drawing with crayons, sculpting clay and sewing fabric. My mother was an artist and encouraged me to express myself artistically. With regular visits to galleries and museums and with artists always in our home, art was an integral part of my life.
