Here is the second part of how to beat the heat at Sziget: come and cool off at Sziget Beach! Come and get some refreshment at one of the newest and coolest venues of this year's festival.
Several bands and artists have accepted visas to the Island of Freedom. Arriving straight to the Main Stage with their latest release are the legendary Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds, as well as the most popular alternative rock band of the 2000’s, Franz Ferdinand.
Two in one: a birthday show and festival within the festival, a legendary Hungarian folk group and the most popular Hungarian band at Sziget. On top of that we’ll have bingo with an energetic Dutch electro-formation in the Party Arena.
Around 65,000 daily revelers are eagerly awaiting the start of Sziget 2013. Now dubbed the 'Island of Freedom', previously awarded the ‘Best Music Festival in Europe’, certainly the biggest cultural extravaganza held in Budapest. Sziget is a multi-dimentional festival with real international appeal - around 60 different nationalities snap the tickets up. Last year over half the crowd came from abroad, e.g. 4,000 Brits were part of the 350,000+ event attendees over the week. Traditionally, meaning for the last 20+ years, both locals and international visitors get to, in a word, ‘party’ day and night for a week. This year there’s so much more on offer than ever before, as the video in this article shows.
Sólyom Airways, a start-up that was initially treated as a joke, is actually recruiting employees, including pilots. Considering that it currently has but one plane, it is looking to hire only 35 employees. But it took out a full-page ad to recruit them.
Sziget Festival's Party Arena will surely get full on Day 0, as Dutch allstars Bingo Players will give a great set to warm up Sziget fans from all over the world. Bingo Players are a gaurantee for an unforgettable house party, as tunes like Rattle, or Buzzcut will make you pump all night long.
